Where Culinary Craft Meets the Card Table

Marble & Pearl is a Sydney venue that pairs an exceptional dining experience with a dedicated offline poker lounge. Here, the precision of a chef's kitchen meets the focus of a Texas Hold'em table. Located at 88 Harbour Street, Sydney NSW 2000, this physical space is designed for both fine meals and social card play. No online gambling—only in-person, skill-based poker evenings.

Explore Our Story

A Vision Born at the Table

Marble & Pearl began with a simple observation: the best conversations happen over a shared meal or a well-played hand. Our founders, a chef and a poker enthusiast, saw an opportunity to create a space where both could thrive. The name reflects the contrast between the polished marble of the dining room and the pearl-like glow of the card lounge. The venue opened in 2021 in Sydney's Harbour district, and every design choice—from the clipped corners to the bio-neon accents—reflects the fusion of precision and play.

We believe that excellence is a habit, whether in the kitchen or at the poker table. Our chefs and card room hosts share a commitment to detail, respect, and the joy of mastery. Our kitchen uses locally sourced ingredients to craft dishes that are both comforting and innovative. Our poker lounge emphasizes skill, strategy, and social interaction—never wagering. We host regular Texas Hold'em evenings that are open to all skill levels.

The Marble & Pearl Philosophy

Our venue is built on three principles that guide every plate, every shuffle, and every conversation.

Precision in Every Detail

From the temperature of a steak to the shuffle of a deck, we obsess over the small things. Our kitchen and card lounge operate with the same rigor as a laboratory. Our chefs train for years to perfect their techniques, our poker tables are maintained to exacting standards, and every service is choreographed to ensure a seamless experience.

Community Through Play

Poker is a social game at its heart. Our lounge is designed to foster camaraderie, friendly competition, and lasting connections—all without the pressure of wagering. We host regular Texas Hold'em evenings where players of all levels are welcome. Our hosts facilitate introductions and ensure a welcoming atmosphere, and many of our regulars have formed friendships that extend beyond the table.

The Art of Contrast

Marble and pearl represent the duality of our space: the cool, structured elegance of the dining room and the warm, glowing energy of the card lounge. We embrace both. The dining room features marble surfaces and soft lighting, while the card lounge uses darker tones with neon green accents. This contrast creates a dynamic atmosphere that shifts as the evening progresses.

A Venue of Two Halves

Marble & Pearl is designed as a journey. Guests begin in the bright, elegant dining room, then move to the darker, more intimate card lounge as the evening unfolds.

  • The dining room features marble tables, soft lighting, and a view of the open kitchen.
  • The card lounge is a separate space with dedicated poker tables, comfortable seating, and a subtle bio-neon glow.
  • A private room is available for groups who want to combine dining with a private poker evening.

The Poker Lounge Experience

Our card lounge is a dedicated space for offline poker, built around skill, strategy, and social connection.

Texas Hold'em Evenings

Our signature poker evenings focus on Texas Hold'em, the world's most popular poker variant. Hosted by James, these sessions are perfect for both newcomers and seasoned players. Sessions run every Thursday and Saturday from 7 PM. Tables are limited to eight players to ensure a quality experience, and there is no wagering—just chips for keeping score and bragging rights.

Beginner-Friendly Tables

New to poker? Our beginner tables offer a relaxed environment where you can learn the rules of Texas Hold'em at your own pace. Hosts provide a brief tutorial before each session, practice chips are provided, and there is no pressure—just friendly play and conversation.

Private Poker Evenings

Book the card lounge for a private poker evening with your group. Ideal for celebrations, corporate events, or simply a night out with friends. Customizable formats include Texas Hold'em tournaments, a dedicated host and dealer, and the option to combine with a set menu from our kitchen.
